The Racecourse

The Racecourse covers more than 118 acres & has a long tradition of being the major open space in the town for both regular formal sports and for major events.

Now it is one of Northampton's Premier Parks and is also served by one of our park wardens, Rachael Bignell.

Sports facilities

The Racecourse has 18 mini, junior and senior football pitches, 1 rugby pitch, 3 bowling greens. 7 cricket pitches and 6 tennis courts. View the price of each activity and a map of where to find each pitch.

Changing rooms

The Racecourse has facilities for 14 sets of changing rooms, thereby accomodating a whole range of sporting activities. Find the cost of hiring the changing facilities here.

Play Area

The play area is situated on the south side of the park, next to the basketball courts.
