Northampton Town Council consultation
We are carrying out a two-stage consultation to find out what local residents and other stakeholders think about proposals to create a new Town Council for some or all parts of the borough.
Three options were put forward during the initial phase in spring 2019 and this has been reduced to two for this consultation stage, as a result of the feedback collected.
The second stage is now live and will run until 8 November 2019, during which specific groups are being conferred with over the two proposals, though anyone can fill in the questionnaire and feedback will be used to create the final proposal.
The two options are:
- A Town Council for the entire unparished area of the existing borough
- A Town Council covering the central urban core of Northampton
In addition, under the consultation process we also welcome any suggestions or recommendations for new community/parish councils in the unparished areas of the existing borough.
You can request a print copy by emailing [email protected] or calling 01604 837111.
The results of the consultation will be carefully considered by the full council at a council meeting which members of the public can attend.
