Northampton nightshelter
Northampton’s ambitious, multi agency Rough Sleepers Strategy, ‘Together we change lives - ending the need for people to sleep rough in Northampton’ was launched on 13 July 2016.
One of the 10 priorities in the strategy was to turn the former British Rail Sports & Social Club in St Andrew’s Road, Northampton into an emergency nightshelter that will keep homeless people safe, warm and dry.
With the help of local residents, groups, organisations and businesses, we transformed this run-down building into a nightshelter.
