Northampton Food Fair to showcase delightful local produce
Discover a wide range of mouth-watering local produce at Love Northampton Food Fair on Saturday 29 February.
Opening at 10.30am, the popular food fair will offer dozens of delicious delights such as vegan burgers, chocolate, smoked cheeses, chutneys, sauces, fudge, cakes, honey, wine, cider and gin.
More than 20 businesses, including The Good Loaf, Fruitful Abundance, Well Roasted Coffee, Little Smoke House, Hustle Gin, Whittlebury Bakery, Fleur Fields Vineyard, Wah Gwaan Jamaican Chicken, Phipps Brewery, and Dutch Delights will all be set up and selling their produce at The Guildhall in the Great Hall and Courtroom.
Friars Farm will also be onsite in the Great Hall, offering an insight into their range of jams and chutneys to anyone wanting to fuel their shopping or take some time out for a rest and a chat.
Music lovers will be able to listen to the Syncopated Jazz band playing outside The Guildhall.
In addition, history fans will be pleased to learn that Looking Glass Theatre will be offering a tour, titled ‘Northamptonshire’s Food Quest Mystery Tour’, which will include a treasure hunt and begin at The Guildhall at 12pm.
Cllr Jonathan Nunn, leader of the Council, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming businesses and customers alike to the beautiful surrounding of The Guildhall for the Love Northampton Food Fair.
“The event provides a great opportunity to promote local producers and supports a wide range of wonderful independent businesses. Attendance is free to both traders and the public making it a really popular addition to our annual events calendar.”
The Love Northampton Food Fair will take place at the Guildhall on Saturday 29 February from 10.30am to 3pm. Entry is free.
