Black tie dinner to raise funds for The Lowdown

Published: Thursday, 17 October 2019

A night of bubbles, prizes and dancing are promised for Saturday 2 November as the Mayor of Northampton, Councillor Nazim Choudary, hosts a Gala Dinner in aid of The Lowdown.

Taking place at The Marriott Hotel, Northampton, the evening will begin with a drinks reception at 7pm, with guests enjoying a free glass of prosecco on arrival and a photo opportunity with the Mayor.

Guests will then be called to sit down for a sumptuous three course meal, with complimentary table wine.

In between courses, there will be plenty of opportunities to win prizes by taking part in a fun raffle and auction. Auction prizes include Silverstone tickets, beautiful jewellery and an overnight stay at the Marriott Hotel to list but a few.

Once dinner is finished, guests can dance the night away as our experienced DJ supplies plenty of chart-topping music until midnight (requests accepted!)

Councillor Choudary selected The Lowdown as the charity to support during his mayoral year.

Previous fundraising activities that have taken place for the charity since Councillor Choudary was welcomed as the 779th Mayor of Northampton in May, have included a sky dive and a mufti day.

Councillor Choudary said “This year is The Lowdown’s 30th anniversary and this gala dinner is a fitting way to not only celebrate their work over the years but to also continue my fundraising for their much-needed services.

“I look forward to welcoming guests to the Marriott Hotel for a glitzy evening with a gold theme - full of glamour, fun and laughter.”

Tickets for the gala dinner are £35 per person. If you are interested in booking a ticket, please email [email protected]
