Apply now to vote by post in European elections

Published: Friday, 03 May 2019

Anyone wishing to vote by post for the European elections has less a week left to request that option.

All applications must be received by Northampton Borough Council no later than 5pm on Wednesday 8 May.

Due to uncertainty over whether European elections are taking place this year, polling cards will be late landing on doormats.

As a result, by the time these arrive it will be too late for people to apply for postal votes, though proxy votes will still be possible until Wednesday 15 May.

A polling card is not required in order to apply for a postal vote, so we would urge anyone who wishes to make an application to do so as soon as possible.

Applications can be made by downloading the application form. This can be scanned to elecreg@northampton.gov.uk once completed. Forms can also be completed and handed in at our one-stop shop at the Guildhall.
