Parking permit applications made easier

A new online permit application system has gone live, enabling customers to apply for parking permits 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Permit Citizen portal, launched by Northampton Borough Council, allows users to apply for their permits, upload supporting documentation and pay online, as well as change their vehicle details.

The portal can be used to apply for season tickets, business season tickets and commuter permits in borough council operated car parks and resident permits in the town centre.

Councillor Tim Hadland, Cabinet member for regeneration, enterprise and planning, said: “With the 24 hour access, we hope that customers will find this new portal easier and more convenient to use, and in the meantime, our parking team are still on hand to answer any enquiries.”
