Funding announced for local agencies, charities and community groups 2018
This year, 17 local support organisations will benefit from the support provided by Northampton Borough Council’s Partnership Grant Fund.
The Borough Council uses the Partnership Grants to support local charities, community groups and agencies who help residents and communities.
A panel of seven, including representatives across parties and from local charities, recommended that £100,000 was awarded in total to the organisations, who were notified of their successful application earlier this week. This is in addition to the three year grants, which were granted to four organisations and will continue this year.
Councillor Anna King, Cabinet member for community engagement and safety, said: “Over the past few years, the Council has made millions of pounds available to non-profit organisations and groups that provide support services for people in our town.
“With so many fantastic organisations working hard in Northampton, allocating funding is always going to be a difficult task. We are, however, extremely pleased to be supporting 17 organisations this year, and we know that the grants allocated will help make a difference to the lives of many people across the town.”
