Guildhall Square Courtyard Closure notice

Published: Wednesday, 28 March 2018

Guildhall Square Courtyard and the Cloister walkway will be closed from Monday 2 April – Monday 30 April while scaffolding is erected to allow roof works take place.

There will be no access route through from St Giles' Street to Dychurch Lane during this time, but the main public entrances to the Spencer Percival area of the old Guildhall and the One-Stop-Shop area will remain open throughout the works.

From Monday 30 April, the Cloister walkway will re-open, but the courtyard will remain closed, with fencing in place to split the two areas. All doors will be maintained as fire exits.

This phase of the roof works will be completed and scaffolding dismantled by Friday, 15 June at the latest.

A second phase of roof works will commence later in June, with scaffolding erected along the Dychurch Lane side of the building, and a pedestrian walkway underneath.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
