Wedding venue previews to showcase Abington Park Museum

Published: Wednesday, 27 September 2017

Couples are being invited to take a look at Abington Park Museum as a prospective wedding venue at a series of preview events.

The beautiful Grade I listed building, set in the heart of Abington Park, is now accepting enquiries for weddings taking place from 2018 onwards. The former manor house, once home to Shakespeare’s granddaughter, has recently undergone refurbishment to improve the Great Hall and develop a new function room suitable for weddings and other private hire events.

The preview events will offer couples the opportunity to drop in and meet the dedicated staff at Abington Park Museum to ask any questions they may have.

Councillor Anna King, Northampton Borough Council cabinet member for community engagement and safety, said: “The preview events offer the perfect opportunity for couples to come along and see the beautiful Abington Park Museum for themselves and potentially become one of the first couples to hold their special day in this stunning wedding venue.

“There has been extensive refurbishment work in the museum over the summer months and the venue is now ready to welcome couples looking to tie the knot and begin their married lives together, sharing in the history and heritage of the building.”
