Kings Heath and Spencer Week of Action
Published Monday, 03 July 2017
People living in the Kings Heath and Spencer area of Northampton are invited to take part in a week of action organised by the Northampton Community Safety Partnership.
With activities planned throughout the week, events kick off with a community litter-pick at 11am on Monday 3 July from Kings Heath Hub.
The week-long community focus will bring a whole host of events to the area including lessons for young people on internet safety, well-being sessions and a community litter-pick. The RSPCA will also be offering reduced-price dog microchipping and free basic health checks.
Councillor Anna King, cabinet member for community safety and engagement at Northampton Borough Council, said: “The focus for the week is helping people to stay safe and healthy so there are loads of different activities where people can come along to get advice or just have some fun.
“This is the second week of action we’ve held in Kings Heath and it’s a really good way to bring communities together. I hope that everyone who lives in the Kings Heath and Spencer area will get involved.”
The week of action is followed by a fun day at Kings Heath Park on Saturday 15 July which will include crime prevention advice and bike marking as well as a bouncy castle and face painting.
