Highlighting issues that matter to you 2017
Northampton Borough Council is inviting residents to put forward their ideas for the Overview & Scrutiny Committee to investigate over the next 12 months.
The Committee, which is made up of members of all political groups at the Council, can look into any issue affecting residents of the Borough with the aim of improving the town as a place to work, live and visit. Up to four of the most popular subjects gathered from public suggestions will be taken forward for investigation during 2017. These will be decided at a Committee meeting in May.
Councillor Jamie Lane, Chair of Northampton Borough Council’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee said: “Last year we received over 50 suggestions from the public and as a result the top suggestions taken forward for the Committee to look into during 2016 were: trust status for the museum, homelessness, child sexual exploitation and the emissions strategy.
“We all want to work together to help make our town a better place to live, work and visit and so we encourage everyone to get involved and put their ideas forward by 27 February.”
Anyone who would like to get involved, can input their ideas by taking part in survey between 3 January and 27 February: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/oands2016 , alternatively hard copy forms are available from the One Stop Shop.
