The LGBTQ Forum join Umbrella Fair line-up

Published: Wednesday, 10 August 2016

The LGBTQ Forum will be attending the increasingly popular Umbrella Fair on 20 and 21 August 2016, at The Racecourse.

The Umbrella Fair is held annually during August and is renowned for drawing large and diverse crowds, and for its support and promotion of equality, ethicality and community spirit.

The event offers a wide variety of fun, family-friendly entertainment and opportunities to learn and experience new things, and this year is no different.

Councillor Anna King, Cabinet Member for Community Engagement, said:

“The LGBTQ Forum will be supporting the Q-performance tent where there'll be a packed line-up of live music and film screenings throughout Saturday and Sunday.

“There’ll also be LGBT community information and representation from local groups such as FAN and the inclusive rugby team, Northampton Outlaws.

“The marquee will be open to all event-goers and the Forum members look forward to welcoming you.”

The Q-performance tent is supported by the LGBTQ Forum in partnership with FAN and Northamptonshire Police’s Spectrum group.

The tent will be open from 12:30pm on both days and will close at 11pm on Saturday and 6:30pm on Sunday.

Entry to the event is free and open to all ages.
