Northampton firms encouraged to shine their light of success
Deadline for SME Northamptonshire Businesses Awards 2016 approaching.
Northampton Borough Council leader, Cllr Mary Markham, has encouraged small and medium sized business across the county to shine a light on their success as the closing date approaches for the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards 2016.
The awards, in their inaugural year in the county, are an opportunity to support and raise the profile of industrious, hard-working and enterprising SMEs in Northamptonshire.
“There is no doubt that our town and our county are home to many successful businesses, in fact Northampton was recently identified as the most enterprising place in the UK”, said Cllr Markham.
“These awards are a chance for businesses to shine a light on their accomplishments, and perhaps scoop some silverware for the cabinet.”
Northampton Borough Council is a Platinum Sponsor for the Northampton Business of the Year in the 2016 Awards, and recently hosted a launch event at the Guildhall. Northampton Alive is sponsoring the Entrepreneur of the year award.
Closing date for entries is Friday, 8 July, and the submission process couldn’t be simpler. The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, 27 October, at the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel & Spa.
Cllr Tim Hadland, Northampton Borough Council cabinet member for regeneration, enterprise and planning, said “Northampton Alive is changing the face of our town, and the Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone has provided so many new opportunities.
‘Most of the town’s recent success is down to its businesses, and their excellence is something we’re delighted to be able to recognise through these awards.”
The awards offer exceptional marketing and PR opportunities as well as increasing your credibility and standing in the eyes of your peers and your customers.
