Happy Day at the Racecourse
Northampton Borough Council Women’s Forum has come together with the Black Minority Ethnic Sub Regional Partnership (BMESRP) and Umbrella Fair to host a health and wellbeing event called Happy Day.
Happy Day will be held at the Racecourse on June 2 from 10.30am - 3pm to encourage people of all ages to lead a healthy lifestyle. Support services such as ADHD Matters and the Alzheimer’s Society will be present to give advice on various health issues.
Councillor Anna King, cabinet member for Community Safety, said: “Northampton Borough Council’s Women’s Forum is pleased to be working alongside BMESRP and the Umbrella Fair for Happy Day. This should be a great event for half term with a variety of fun activities going on as well information and advice about healthy living and looking after yourself.”
The day will be filled with fun activities including exercise workshops, sports sessions, Zumba and Bhangra classes from Bhangrablaze . There will also be face painting, crafts and plenty more for children to do for the half term.
And if all that sounds too exhausting there are yoga classes to relax and unwind in before treating yourself to a coffee and cake at the Pavillion café.
