Showcasing Northampton’s Partnership Funded Organisations 2016

Northampton Borough Council will be hosting a showcase event celebrating organisations awarded funding in 2015/16 and what the Partnership Fund Grant Scheme has supported.

The event will be held at the Guildhall on Monday 25 January from 3.30pm – 6.30pm and will highlight the fantastic projects and organisations that Northampton Borough Council fund.

In attendance will be more than 15 local organisations including Northampton Inter Faith Forum, Northampton Women’s Aid, Community Spaces Northampton and Age UK.  It will be a market place style event, with two training sessions running for the 2016/17 grant process. The training sessions will include more information on the Partnership grant process for 2016/17 and another about working in partnership.

The Partnership Fund Grant Scheme is designed to bring to life partnership between the Council and the Northampton Voluntary and Community Sector for the improvement of local communities. The scheme could see funding being given to groups and organisations that do positive work in Northampton. Grants are available to groups and organisations working in the community and voluntary sector.

Councillor Brandon Eldred, Northampton Borough Council cabinet member for Community Engagement, said:  "This is a great opportunity for local groups to celebrate the brilliant work that has been done and to promote their achievements. There are some really praiseworthy groups in Northampton who help people in need and make our local communities better. The Partnership Grant can make a real difference in helping them continue the work they are doing do and we would encourage other groups who are not yet signed up to make an application.”

Applications must be for a minimum of £3,000 and will be accepted from registered charities, unregistered voluntary or community groups, registered charitable companies limited by guarantee and Social Enterprises.

Applications must be for a service that meets any of the following priorities:

  • Celebrate our heritage and culture
  • Invest in safer, cleaner neighbourhoods
  • Creating empowered communities
  • Promoting health & well-being

Northampton Borough Council will be accepting applications for next year's Partnership Fund from today, Friday 15 January 2016.
