Activities & workshops for children

The easiest way to book tickets is online on our Eventbrite page. Alternatively, the Abington Park Museum ticket booking line, 01604 838110, is open during term time from November to March, Thursday to Sunday 12 - 4pm and during Northamptonshire school holidays Tuesday to Sunday 12 - 4pm.  
You can also purchase tickets in person at Abington Park Museum.


Easter Egg Trail

Join our annual Easter trail around Abington Park Museum with a chocolate egg as a prize for every child. Suitable for all ages.
£1.50 per child

3D Animal Model Making

Tuesday 7 AprilCreate your own 3D woodden animal using pre-cut wooden shapes.

Create your own 3D wooden animal using pre-cut wooden shapes. Once complete, decorate your puzzle to bring it to life!
Suitable for ages 6 and over. This event is on the first floor, accessed by stairs only.
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Playful PuppetPlayful Puppets workshop

Come and make your own woodland animal puppet. Choose from a range of animals and sew a friend to take home.

Hunsbury Hillfort Tree Trail

Enjoy the newly developed Tree Trail around the Hunsbury Hill Fort and Country Park.
Free activity suitable for all ages. 
The trail was developed by the Friends of West Hunsbury Parks and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, supported by Northampton Museums & Art Gallery.
Details are available in the Drovers Return café in the Country Park and online.
