Northampton Forward Board
Formed in 2018, Northampton Forward is a partnership with the primary role of co-ordinating and driving forwards the integrated regeneration and economic growth within Northampton, including the Northampton Town Centre. It is responsible for establishing a strategy and delivery framework for the future development to achieve this vision.
The Northampton Forward Board is made up of key stakeholders across the town – Northampton Borough Council, Northamptonshire County Council, South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP), The University of Northampton, Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, Royal & Derngate, Northampton Town Centre Business Improvement Districts, Members of Parliament, Private Sector and Community Representatives.
Northampton Forward’s role is to:
- Establish a strategic vision/masterplan for Northampton Town Centre
- Provide leadership for the achievement of the vision and secure agreement from key partners and stakeholders
- Oversee the delivery of a place marketing strategy for Northampton
- The development of a Town Investment Plan for Northampton
Current work to date undertaken by the Northampton Forward Board is the creation of a Town Centre Masterplan, submission of a bid to the Government’s Future High Street Fund and the development of a bid to be made in to the Government’s Towns Fund.
