Street cleaning and grounds maintenance
Become a Street Champion
The Street Champions Scheme aims to improve the cleanliness of the town’s streets, open spaces and communal land by encouraging residents to volunteer time to help litter pick and promote responsible behaviour around litter. No formal commitment is needed when signing up to become a Street Champion volunteer. You can give as much, or as little time as you want, either as an individual or by forming a group with like-minded friends and neighbours.
You can keep your street or local park clean by organising a monthly litter pick, as you walk to work, as you walk the dog, or just anytime you get the urge to make a difference in your community!
All volunteers will receive training and on-going support as well as a welcome kit that includes a litter picker, gloves, rubbish sacks, a sack hoop, a high-vis jacket and a window sticker.
