Currently its non-operational investment Rent Roll value is £1.7 million and the value of the authority's property on the asset register is £142 million (excluding Housing).
The Estates and Valuation Services Section is divided into 3 areas:
-
Management of the investment portfolio whose prime function is to maximise income generation and ensure voids are minimised, agreements are properly administered and their terms enforced and managed.
-
Statutory valuations, including Right to Buy, Capital Accounting Valuation, Rating and Compulsory Purchase, Leasehold Enfranchisement etc.
- Project Management, Feasibility, Property Review and Disposals; section with responsibility to ensure surplus property is brought to the market, properly marketed and whether being marketed for sale or as part of a regeneration or development scheme, is disposed of on appropriate terms and at best value
