Armed Forces Community Covenant
The Community Covenant has been set up to encourage the local community to support serving and former members of the armed Forces and to increase the understanding of the issues that face members of the armed forces community.
At the same time, the armed forces are encouraged to support the community and promote activities that help to integrate them into civilian life.
The Community Covenant says that we will mark and remember the past sacrifices made on our behalf and encourage activities that integrate the armed forces into community life and to involve them in the wider community.
A group consisting of the armed forces, the council, housing, the voluntary and community sector and the civilian community meet on a quarterly basis to ensure that the actions in the plan are being implemented.
Armed forces events
An event will take place, in the town centre, on Saturday 25 June 2016 in Northampton, to mark Armed Forces Day. More details about the event can be found on the following link. Armed Forces Day 2016.
