Trees Protected by Planning Conditions

Often, in granting planning permission, special conditions are attached that require the developer to carry out certain specified work as part of the development to which the permission relates. Sometimes, such conditions may prohibit a developer from damaging or removing trees on the development site. However, such prohibitions are only considered to be valid for the period during which the development work is being carried out, and perhaps a short while after that, but cease to have effect thereafter.
