Review of the Local Requirements for the validation of planning applications
Our Local Validation Requirements list is reviewed every two years, with the aim of ensuring that we ask for only proportionate information from planning permission applicants.
Our latest review of the requirements has taken place and our draft requirements are available to view. Any changes from the original are highlighted to make these clearer.
We are now commencing an 8 week consultation seeking views of interested parties on the proposed revised list.
Consultation will commence from 4 March 2019 and end on 29 April 2019 with the new requirements proposed to take effect from 1 August 2019.

We will take into account comments received on or before 29 April 2019 when finalising the document, which will be then be reported to the Planning Committee for their consideration and the final decision on whether to formally adopt the requirements. Currently this is scheduled for the 4th June Committee meeting.
