Brownfield Land Register
Local planning authorities in England are required to prepare a Brownfield Land Register in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017.
The purpose of the brownfield land register is to provide information, in a standardised way across all local planning authorities in England, for brownfield land considered suitable and available for housing-led development.
Councils are required to complete the brownfield land register by 31 December 2018 and once in place update it annually.
