Swarming honey bees may cause problems if they choose a site close to populated areas; e.g. chimneys, eaves of houses or trees close to houses or public places. When this happens we advise you to consult a beekeeper first, to see if they can offer an alternative to destroying the nest. If you encounter a swarm please don't panic; leave the bees undisturbed and telephone your local beekeeper. In some cases nests of other bees may need to be relocated.
You will need to give your name, address and telephone number. It will be helpful if you can give as much information as possible: the size of the swarm, its location, height from the ground and when the swarm arrived.
