Homeless or risk of homelessness
Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2020-2023
Homelessness and rough sleeping are unacceptable in modern Britain. Everyone deserves a place they can call home and our Homelessness and Rough Sleeping 2020-2023 Strategy commits the Council to using its resources and creativity to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring.
This vision is underpinned by the following four key objectives which have corresponding actions:
1. Creating effective and collaborative partnerships.
2. Preventing homelessness through early and targeted intervention.
3. Reducing the number of households in temporary accommodation and ensuring a sufficient supply of suitable housing for homeless households.
4. Reducing rough sleeping and enabling rough sleepers to thrive.
The purpose of this Strategy is to set out how the Council and its partners will tackle, prevent and reduce homelessness in the area.
