Sheltered housing
Getting help in an emergency
All the intercoms in sheltered housing properties in Northampton are linked to the Call Care Central Control that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can be sure that if ever you need help, someone will answer your call even in the middle of the night or at weekends.
The equipment
Many of our properties have an intercom system. When you pull your cord the call will usually go straight through to a control operator who will deal with your enquiry. When you move in you will be shown how the intercom works.
Some properties may have Lifeline equipment which also links to the Control Centre.
In a medical emergency it is best to ring the emergency services direct, although we can contact them on your behalf if necessary.
What happens if the system doesn't work?
Your intercom and all the pull cords in your property will be checked once each month. In the unlikely event that your intercom develops a fault please contact our Control Centre on 01604 637206.
