Bulky waste collections

What are bulky waste collections?

A bulky waste collection is a special service offered by the council which allows for the collection of large and bulky household items such as furniture and large appliances from domestic / residential properties. Please see the lists below of items that we can and cannot accept, as outlined in the terms and conditions.

This list is not exhaustive but all bookings must be made in line with the details provided.

We do not collect bulky waste from businesses or commercial properties.

If you are a business requiring collection of large items, please contact a licensed waste disposal company. You can find further information on the Household Waste and Recycling centres page including opening times and charges for disposal.

What does it cost?

Customers may have up to 6 items collected by this service. This service carries a non-refundable fee of £25 for 3 items or £40 for 4 to 6 items, so please read the terms and conditions carefully before confirming your booking.

Book and pay for a collection

Before booking your collection, please make sure we can collect your bulky waste items, as we cannot offer refunds once you have paid for a collection.

Please note: This service is only for properties that have their waste collected by Northampton's waste contractor Veolia.  Most properties that are in Moulton, Boughton and Lower Harlestone fall under the Daventry area. Grange Park falls under South Northamptonshire. If you are unsure check your postcode before making your booking.
