Voting - Who can look at the electoral register ?

There are two versions of the register - the full version and the edited version.  Your details must always appear on the full version, but you can choose whether or not your details appear on the edited register and 40 per cent of our electors chose not to have their names on the edited register.

The full register can only be used for elections, preventing and detecting crime and by registered credit reference agencies.

The edited register is for general sale and can be used for commercial activities, such as marketing.

You can only look at the full electoral register by coming to the Guildhall - you will be supervised while you look at the full register.

You can see the edited register in our local libraries.
