Northampton’s Remembrance Day 2020 commemorations will be virtual in light of Covid-19.

“Remember from Home” is Northampton Borough Council’s message to the town, which will host a packed programme of events that will be streamed live on YouTube.

Events include:

  • A pre-recorded broadcast of a socially distanced parade from the Northampton Army Reserves
  • A special service at All Saints Church – without a congregation in line with current government regulations
  • The traditional two-minute silence at 11am in tribute to those who lost their lives fighting for their country
  • Pre-recorded wreath laying involving local dignitaries

This will be followed by a Northampton Remembers video montage featuring contributions from the public, Armed Forces and Royal British Legion, among others.

Please note that there will be no Remembrance activities in the town centre or around the All Saints Church, and the above-listed activities can only be viewed through the stream, accessed by clicking here or here.
