Greyfriars Bus Station lane undergoes a repair

Published Thursday 14th January 10

Some people using Greyfriars Bus Station will be being advised to catch their bus from an alternative lane and bay between Friday, 15 and Sunday, 17 January.

This is due to emergency repairs taking place to a pothole that recently appeared in the bus lane affecting bays A to H.

The hole has been temporarily covered with a metal plate but contractors will be visiting tomorrow (Friday) to permanently repair the roadway. The lane will be completely closed and buses will be diverted to the bus station's old coach expressway lane, which is the lane closest to Greyfriars Road.

Signs will be put up, advising people which new bay in the old coach expressway they should wait for the bus service they require. People using bus services during these three days are advised to add some extra time to their journey in the event of them being diverted to an alternative bay.

It is expected that the repairs will be complete and the lanes fully reopened by Monday, 18 January.
