Directions for getting to the Guildhall (View Map)
If you are approaching Northampton from the M1, it is essential that you exit the motorway a Junction 15. From this junction head north towards the Town Centre on the A508 London Road which then becomes A45 Nene Valley Way.
At the third major Interchange from the motorway, leave the A45 and take the first exit towards the Town Centre on the A428 Bedford Road. Continue along this road in the right hand lane for approximately a quarter of a mile until you reach the traffic lights. Turn right at the lights onto Cliftonville Road, passing Cliftonville House (also Northampton Borough Council) sited on this corner. Continue up the hill until you reach the second set of traffic lights.
Turn left onto Billing Road.
Continue along past the hospital, over another set of traffic lights onto Spencer Parade (one way) which then becomes St. Giles Street shopping frontage.
Travel past the Post Office near the end of St. Giles Street and immediately to your right will be the entrance to the Council car park. You will need to stop at the barrier and press the button on the control panel for assistance. Parking is by appointment only.
If you have no appointment, please continue to Guildhall Road and follow the signs for Public Car Parking.
The First Stop Shop and Visitors Reception is situated up the steps to the left of the Guildhall car park entrance.

If you are approaching Northampton from the M1, it is essential that you exit the motorway a Junction 15. From this junction head north towards the Town Centre on the A508 London Road which then becomes A45 Nene Valley Way.
At the third major Interchange from the motorway, leave the A45 take the first exit towards the Town Centre on the A428 Bedford Road. Continue along this road in the right hand lane for approximately a quarter of a mile until you reach the traffic lights. Turn right onto Cliftonville Road.
The entrance to the Council Offices is immediately on the right.
Once at the entrance to the Council Offices, bear right into the Visitors Car Park.
The Reception is situated immediately opposite the car park.
Directions for getting to Westbridge Depot (View Map)
If you are approaching Northampton from the M1, it is essential that you exit the motorway a Junction 15. From this junction head north towards the Town Centre on the A508 London Road which then becomes A45 Nene Valley Way.
At the third major Interchange, leave the A45 and take the first exit towards the Town Centre on the A428 Bedford Road. Continue along this road passing Beckett's Park on your left, until you get to the next set of traffic lights. Take a left turn at these lights onto Victoria Promenade.
Follow this dual lane road around over a mini roundabout, several sets of lights and past the Carlsberg Brewery to your left, where the road now becomes St. Peter's Way. Continue to the large roundabout and take the second exit (still on St. Peter's Way), signposted Station and St. James.
At the next set of traffic lights take the left lane onto St. James' Road, passing the station to your right. Follow this road for approximately a quarter of a mile. Turn left at the traffic lights (just before the Thomas A Beckett public house) onto St. James' Mill Road. Westbridge Depot is the second turning on your left.
