Cloud & Rainbow Shoe
'Cloud and Rainbow' shoe designed and made by Thea Cadabra in 1979.

Thea Cadabra learnt her shoe making skills from a Turkish shoemaker working in London. She used these skills to make fantasy shoes for herself. Other people asked her to make shoes for them and in 1976 she set up her own workshop.
Cloud and Rainbow was made for the Crafts Council exhibition The Shoe Show.
She later moved to France and worked for the Charles Jourdan design team.
She now lives in America and her designs are much in demand by shoe manufacturers.
Although her shoes are wild and wonderful they can all be worn and enjoyed by their owners.
In the museum we have four of her designs Cloud and Rainbow, The Dragon, Waterlily Sandal and the Maid designed by Thea together with James Rooke.
