Northampton Longer Term Growth Options Study
Northampton has been identified by the Government as a major town suitable for accommodating significant growth in new housing and jobs over the next 20 to 25 years. This growth is part of the Milton Keynes and South Midlands Sub-Regional Strategy.
In 2006 Daventry District, Northampton Borough and South Northamptonshire Councils commissioned independent consultants to undertake a study to look at the possible options for accommodating Northampton's growth to 2026 and to 2031. This study is called the "Northampton Longer Term Growth Options Study". The Study was completed in March 2007.
The Northampton Longer Term Growth Options Study is not a plan. The Study is not the final answer. It is background information to help inform plans for the future growth of Northampton. The key plans the Study will inform are the West Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy and the Northampton Implementation Area Development Plan Document.
The Northampton Longer Term Growth Options Study is available from any of the three Councils' websites. It has been split for downloading.
