Enjoy comedy and chills in this original adaptation of the charming Oscar Wilde tale, written especially for children and young families. Spooky goings-on and eerie incidents are terrifying the new inhabitants of Canterville Chase. Will the ghost of Sir Simon drive them away, or can the mischievous spirit finally be laid to rest? This one-man show, featuring plenty of audience participation and character changes, is guaranteed to raise more than just a ghost of a smile! Presented by Don’t Go in the Cellar, starring Phil Jennings, written by Jonathan Goodwin and directed by Gary Archer. Suitable for children aged five and above.
(Refreshments served from 2pm. Performance 2.30-3.30pm).

A Christmas Carol

James Hornsby returns to the museum for another of his one-man plays with a host of Charles Dickens' wonderful characters, including Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, Jacob Marley, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, Mr and Mrs Fezziwig and, of course, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. All brought to life in the style of Dickens' own legendary public readings. Suitable for adults and families – recommended for children eight and over. Refreshments will be available to buy.
