Get involved

2016 competition

Northampton Bloom Planning Committee is hoping for more community groups, schools, residents and businesses to enter the local competition in 2016.

Everyone can help make Northampton bloom brighter and the Northampton Bloom Planning Committee is always pleased to hear from anyone who would like to get involved. There are so many different ways you can brighten up your neighbourhood – planting a hanging basket, organising a clean up or litter pick, volunteering to help out in one of the town’s parks or even  sprucing up a communal green space near you.

For more information or an entry form e-mail us at or phone 01604 837357. The final deadline for entries will be in June 2016.

Photo competition

Once again we will be awarding a prize for the best Bloom photograph. We urge everyone taking part in Bloom to take photos as they go along and send them to us to add to our Bloom photo gallery. The judges can’t see the town throughout the seasons, so the gallery is a great way of showing them what happens over the year.

Northampton in Bloom awards evening

The culmination of everyone’s hard work is celebrated in an awards evening in October. This brings everyone together, and entrants are able to share their experiences and, most importantly, find out what medal they have achieved. Northampton is also presented with its award for East Midlands in Bloom. This is proving to be a very popular event in the Bloom calendar.
