2009: Anne Frank Festival
2009 sees the 70th anniversary of the start of World War II. It is also the year in which, had she survived, Anne Frank would have had her 80th birthday. A special series of activities has taken place across Northampton and county which together formed an "Anne Frank Festival". The centrepiece was the world-famous hi-tech "Anne Frank & You" Exhibition which was in Northampton throughout February 2009.
Over 5,500 people took part in the Festival, with people coming from all over Northampton, and much further afield too.
If you would like to find out more about Anne Frank or the exhibition (which travels to a new location in the UK each month) you may like to visit the Anne Frank Trust website: www.annefrank.org.uk
